Xero will purchase South African analytics platform Syft for $70 million

Xero, the worldwide accounting software program big, will purchase South African cloud-based reporting and analytics platform Syft for $70 million. The deal is projected to shut between October and December 2024 pending regulatory approval.

Based in 2016 by Matt Stephanou and Vangelis Kyriazis, Johannesburg-based Syft’s AI monetary reporting platform offers small and medium companies with entry to reporting instruments. In 2023, the corporate reported $4.4 million in income from 75,000 prospects throughout 80 nations.

Xero pays $40 million upfront for the acquisition, together with $10 million in shares. The remainder—-earn-outs and employee-restricted shares—will likely be paid over three years. Syft’s 70 workers will even be built-in into Xero.
