The butter used for the sculpture is supplied by O-AT-KA Mik Merchandise in Batavia, N.Y. It’s butter that doesn’t meet retail specs for varied causes, so the American Dairy Affiliation North East collaborates with the sculptors to rework it into a surprising murals.
After its 13-day show at The Honest, the butter shall be transported again to Western New York, the place it is going to be recycled into renewable power at Noblehurst Farms, a dairy farm in Pavilion, N.Y.
