‘Gaslighting’: Christians REJECT Olympics Opening Ceremony ‘apology’

Scores of Christians on social media have accused the Paris 2024 Committee of “gaslighting” them following an apology of the Olympics Opening Ceremony.

Organisers of the controversial present have responded to the widespread backlash of the efficiency that came about on Friday, 26 July.  This, after one of many sponsors pulled out promoting over the social media scandal.

The Opening Ceremony – accused of blasphemy – has since been deleted from YouTube and all of the organisation’s platforms.

PARIS 2024 ORGANISERS ‘APOLOGISE’ OVER OPENING CEREMONY OFFENCE

In a media briefing over the weekend, Paris 2024 spokesperson Anne Descamps apologised to the general public who had been offended by the Olympics Opening Ceremony.

She mentioned: “Clearly, there was by no means an intention to point out disrespect to any non secular group, quite the opposite.  [The opening ceremony] tried to have fun group tolerance. We consider this ambition was achieved. If individuals have taken any offence we’re actually sorry.”

In the meantime, Opening Ceremony Artistic Director Thomas Jolly claimed his intention was “to not mock or shock.”

Jolly claims the present was crammed with “inclusivity, concepts of kindness, generosity, solidarity, which I believe we desperately want.

He added: “In France, we’re allowed to like who we wish, how we wish.

“We’ve got a variety of rights, and I needed to convey these values all through the ceremony.”

CHRISTIANS CLAP BACK

On social media, many Christians or conservatives rejected the Opening Ceremony apology.

Regardless of organisers, together with Jolly, claiming the present was not primarily based on faith, X customers reposted an Instagram Story from Barbara Butch – the lady who depicted “Jesus” within the Final Supper.

In it, the queer French DJ claimed that the scene likened to Leonardo Da Vinci’s portray was “the brand new homosexual testomony.”

Others accused the Olympics of “gaslighting Christians.”

@babybeginner: “I really need there to be a path to redemption when somebody does one thing improper.  I need to forgive them. However this can be a gaslight, not an apology.  We all know the Olympic organizing committee is mendacity. 

@NaughtyNessie: “No narcissistic apology will repair the Opening Ceremony.”

@magsfreedom1111: “Your apology isn’t accepted. You had been very offensive. You had been making an attempt to twist minds and gaslight individuals into considering this sort of habits is appropriate when it’s not.”

I really need there to be a path to redemption when somebody does one thing improper. I need to forgive them.

However this can be a gaslight not an apology. We all know the Olympic organizing committee is mendacity.
