Fourth of July in Elmwood Park was billed as a “day of pleasure,” with village celebrations that began with a parade and ended with fireworks.
Scores of individuals lined the route early July 4 because the annual parade stepped off from 78th and Fullerton avenues, rolled up seventy fifth Avenue and down Diversey Avenue, over to Sundown Drive the place it ended at Village Corridor.
Later within the day, one other village staple and neighborhood occasion was deliberate at Elmwood Park Excessive College.
That celebration included a stay efficiency by Starlight Metropolis band.
The band’s two-hour set was the lead as much as the village’s fireworks present — which closed out the night time.
