Statista, a world-renowned market information supplier, and CNBC, an American media firm, listed seven African fintech corporations—Flutterwave, Piggyvest, Kuda, MTN, Financial institution Zero, Palmpay, and Yoco—of their 2024 listing of the 250 high fintech corporations. The startups have been chosen from 2,000 corporations globally.

The listing, which additionally options international corporations like Mastercard, Klarna, Flywire, and Robinhood, is the second version by the Statista-CNBC duo—the primary version was in 2023.

The listing was curated based mostly on desk analysis by the Statista group and data offered by the companies, comparable to 2023 revenues, year-on-year gross sales development fee, and complete headcount. Nonetheless, it’s unranked.

Within the 2024 250 high fintech listing, Nigerian fintech Kuda and South African Financial institution Zero have been categorised as among the best neobanks.
