Defying the standard method of educating and studying, tertiary establishments in Ghana at the moment are innovatively weaving sports activities and music into their educating practices, to offer a complete studying expertise for college kids.
The College of Ghana’s Literature Division analyzed the lyrics and music video of D-Black’s 2012 tune “My Kinda Lady”, which options Sarkodie. The evaluation was featured within the Essential Discourse Research journal, authored by Dr. Nancy Henaku, a lecturer within the English Division.
Rapper D-Black, shared the information with enthusiasm on X(previously often called Twitter) highlighting the intersection of his tune and scholarly analysis by the College. The lyrics and animated video of the tune had been scrutinized through the earlier semester.
He mentions that it’s an honour for the College of Ghana to research his tune in an educational paper.
“Such an honor for the College of Ghana Literature Division final semester to check the lyrics from tune ‘My Kinda Lady’ off my second album with my brother Sarkodie in an educational paper that appeared within the Essential Discourse Research by Dr. Nancy Henaku, a lecturer on the Division of English, College of Ghana,” the BET nominated rapper wrote.
The popularity underscores the cultural and academic significance of latest Ghanaian music in academia.
Reflecting on the journey from crafting the tune to having it studied by college students in tertiary a decade later, the rapper wrote “Again then we had been developing and simply wished to inform our tales and break away with out the stress of business success. A decade later , college students my age then are finding out the lyrics i penned down. That feeling is a distinct kind of feeling! God has been good. Keep grateful, keep smiling.”

D-Black began his music profession in 2009 with Kweku T as a bunch (D-Black and Kweku T). The duo launched the Goal Practise album and went their separate methods to pursue solo careers in 2010.
