Afrigather Common Kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin has been granted bail of GH₵50,000 with 2 sureties by the Asokore Mampong district Court docket. He’s to reappear in courtroom on June 27, 2024.
The actor was arrested on Monday, June 3 by the Manhyia Divisional police command over his involvement in an accident that claimed the lifetime of a 3-year-old.
The deadly incident occurred at Amakom in Kumasi on Could 25 just a few hours earlier than the premiere of his film ‘A Nation Known as Ghana’ on the KNUST auditorium.
The actor was arrested as quickly as he was discharged from the Komfo Anokye Instructing Hospital on Monday morning.
The three-year-old, Richard Nana Yaw Ampomah reportedly misplaced his life whereas receiving therapy on the Komfo Anokye Instructing Hospital on Saturday, Could 25 hours after the accident at Amakom in Kumasi.
Nana Yaw is reported to have occupied the entrance passenger seat of his father’s automobile when it collided with LilWin’s branded Mercedes benz. Witnesses say the actor was driving at a high velocity when the crash occurred.
After the deadly accident, Liwil has been receiving therapy on the Komfo Anokye hospital till his arrest on Monday morning. His supervisor and private guard have nonetheless been hospitalised and receiving therapy.
