Afrigather The Sokoto State Police Command has arrested ten members of a human trafficking and baby abduction syndicate and rescued 21 youngsters.
The state Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Hayatu Kaigama, acknowledged this whereas addressing newsmen on the command headquarters within the state capital on Thursday, Could 30, 2024.
He stated one of many suspects, Bala Abubakar of the Tudun Wada space of Sokoto, was alleged to have bought a complete of 28 youngsters, together with six of his organic youngsters.
He stated the suspects gave out their victims to Kulu Dongoyaro and Elizabeth Ojah in change for between N150,000 and N250,000, claiming they have been being taken to at least one Abuja-based NGO that’s prepared to shoulder the tasks of their welfare.
