Nigerian singer and producer Tekno has confirmed his partnership with Mr Eazi-led music label service, emPawa Africa, and is ready to take up a task as an investor and accomplice artiste of the initiative.
The music star will be a part of the label service by way of his Cartel Music label and can be releasing his first single of 2024, ‘Wayo,’ by way of emPawa Africa.
“This strategic alliance with emPawa guarantees to be a game-changer for the African music trade and a beacon of alternative for artistes. We sit up for seeing how this partnership will catalyse the expansion of emPawa Africa, its artists and the broader African music ecosystem,” Tekno advised Music In Africa.
In an announcement launched throughout his social media platforms, Mr Eazi revealed that the deal will usher in a brand new section of emPawa Africa that can see the label service work with African artistes at completely different levels of their careers.
“(The deal will allow emPawa Africa work with African artistes) who need to keep monetary and inventive freedom however much more importantly need to personal part of the corporate their IP is constructing,” he added.
With this deal, Tekno and Cartel Music can be becoming a member of Haitian DJ and document producer Michaël Brun as an investor within the music label service, which has platformed stars akin to Joeboy, Main League DJz, Fave, King Promise, Minz and extra.
