Uyo, Could ninth, 2024 – The Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa) has commenced the development of 4 state-of-the-art classroom blocks for the College of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State. The groundbreaking ceremony, held on the college campus, marks a big milestone in ASR Africa’s Tertiary Schooling Grants Scheme.
The donation is a part of a grant awarded to the College of Uyo from ASR Africa’s $100 million Fund for Social Growth and Renewal. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nyaudoh U. Ndaeyo, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to ASR Africa for choosing the College of Uyo as a beneficiary of the grant. He emphasised the pressing want for the classroom blocks and requested immediate completion to allow the college to make the most of the amenities at once.

So far, over 27 private and non-private Nigerian universities and establishments of upper studying have benefited from ASR Africa’s Tertiary Schooling Grants, together with the College of Maiduguri, Ahmadu Bello College Zaria, the College of Ilorin, the College of Benin, and the College of Ibadan, amongst others.
