CBN officers demanded $600k bribe to course of cost of executed contract, says witness at Emefiele’s trial

Victor Onyejiuwa, managing director of The Supply Computer systems Restricted, on Thursday testified on the Lagos excessive courtroom within the case in opposition to Godwin Emefiele, former governor of the Central Financial institution of Nigeria (CBN), for abuse of workplace.

Upon questioning by the EFCC, Onyejiuwa disclosed contract quantities together with a $1.2 billion contract when the change fee was N360/$, and others valued at $2.1 million, N340,000, and N17 million.

Following Onyejiuwa’s testimony, Emefiele’s counsel, Olalekan Ojo, requested an adjournment for cross-examination on the subsequent listening to. Justice Rahman Oshodi adjourned the case for Might 17.

Beforehand, on April 29, Ayoh testified, stating his tenure on the CBN and his oblique reporting to Emefiele. He admitted to gathering cash from contractors on Emefiele’s directions and delivering it to Emefiele’s assistant, John Adetona.
