FAAC: FG, States, LGs Shared N1.1trn in March
The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a complete sum of N1123.391 billion as March 2024 federation account income to the federal authorities, states and native authorities councils.
The steadiness within the Extra Crude Account (ECA) was $473,754.57.
A press release issued on Friday by Bawa Mokwa, Director of press and public relations within the Workplace of the Accountant Basic of the Federation (OAGF), disclosed that “As contained in a communique issued by the FAAC at its April, 2024 assembly, the N1123.391 billion complete distributable income comprised distributable statutory income of N311.233 billion, distributable Worth Added Tax (VAT) income of N511. 879 billion, Digital Cash Switch Levy (EMTL) income of N14.754 billion and Trade Distinction income of N285.525 billion.”

The sum of N56.943 billion (13% of mineral income) was shared to the benefiting sates as derivation income.
The Federal Authorities obtained N76.782 billion, the State Governments obtained N255.940 billion and the Native Authorities Councils obtained N179.158 billion from the N511.879 billion distributable Worth Added Tax (VAT) income.
The N14.754 billion Digital Cash Switch Levy (EMTL) was shared as follows: the Federal Authorities obtained N2.213 billion, the State Governments obtained N7.377 billion and the Native Authorities Councils obtained N5.164 billion.
The Federal Authorities obtained N132.935 billion from the N285.525 billion Trade Distinction income. The State Governments obtained N67.426 billion, and the Native Authorities Councils obtained N51.983 billion. The sum of N33.181 billion (13% of mineral income) was shared to the benefiting states as derivation income.
Within the month of March 2024, Import Obligation, value-added tax (VAT) Gasoline Royalty, firms revenue tax (CIT) and others elevated significantly whereas Excise Obligation, Oil Royalty, Petroleum Revenue Tax (PPT), Digital Cash Switch Levy (EMTL) and CET Levies recorded decreases.
