Former Benue CoS Escapes Loss of life As Gunmen Abduct Spouse, Home Assist

Makurdi, Benue state – A former Chief of Employees to Benue state governor, Terwase Orbunde, has escaped from a gunmen assault with a gunshot on his proper arm.

The gunmen, nonetheless, succeeded in kidnapping his spouse, Mrs Abigail Kashimana Orbunde, and her home assist, Persistence Ogute.

In line with The Nation, the incident occurred near the Genocide Cemetery alongside Cellular Barracks-Welfare Quarters Highway in Makurdi, round 6pm on Friday, April 12.

How gunmen shot former Benue CoS

Witnesses stated the 5 gunmen attacked Orbunde, his spouse and home assist after the inspection of the weeding of their farm and cost of the employees.

It was gathered that the attackers shot Orbunde in the suitable arm and ordered the ladies to observe them to an unknown vacation spot.

Villagers and passersby scampered for security in several instructions because the gunmen shot.

The eyewitnesses stated the chief of the group ordered Orbunde to stroll away.

The previous Chief of Employees was stated to be bleeding profusely earlier than good Samaritans rushed him to the hospital.

Tahav Agerzua, a former aide to Hon Orbunde confirmed the assault in a brief assertion, Daily Independent studies.

“The previous Chief of Employees escaped with a gunshot (wound) on his proper arm whereas the attackers whisked away Mrs Abigail Kashimana Orbunde, and her home assist, Persistence Ogute.”

Gunmen abduct Benue data commissioner

In the meantime, TheTalk.NG reported that Matthew Abo, Benue State Commissioner of Data, Tradition and Tourism, was kidnapped by gunmen.

Abo was kidnapped from his residence in his hometown within the Zaki-Biam group of the Ukum native authorities space of the state on Sunday evening, September 24.
