My consideration has been drawn to a information story with the above headline revealed in The Nation newspaper and reproduced by some on-line media shops on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
The road credited to me within the story to the impact that Governor Fortunate Aiyedatiwa didn’t approve the appointment of aides made by the Lawyer Common and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, was a fabrication of the writer of the story.
That assertion didn’t emanate from me and the writer of the unique story has since admitted his error, apologised and promised to do a retraction.
For clarification, the Lawyer Common solely appointed these legal professionals, together with some notable Senior Advocates of Nigeria, as honorary advisers to help him in selling varied reforms within the judiciary in Ondo State.
The mentioned legal professionals will not be anticipated to obtain any monetary remuneration or employment benefits from the Ondo State authorities.
Many of the legal professionals who’ve been appointed are famend, trusted and skilled legal professionals and jurists who’ve willingly determined to contribute their companies to Ondo State as a gesture of goodwill.
