Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has agreed to pay 50% of the extra increment of the 2024 Hajj fare for the intending pilgrims from the state.

This implies the state authorities can pay a subsidy of ₦959,000 for every of the 1,652 intending pilgrims from the state totalling ₦2.5bn.

This was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Faith Affairs and Group Orientation, Alhaji Yakubu Hamza, on Friday whereas briefing newsmen on the event on the Authorities Home, Bauchi.
