Kaduna Govt Denies Hiring Non-public Negotiator for Launch of Kidnapped College students

The Kaduna State authorities has vehemently denied media experiences claiming it employed a non-public negotiator to safe the discharge of lots of of kidnapped college students.

The denial comes after experiences circulated on Friday alleging the federal government engaged a negotiator to facilitate the protected return of 287 pupils kidnapped from the Lea Main College and college students of Authorities Secondary College, Kuriga, each situated in Chikun Native Authorities Space.

An announcement issued by the governor’s press secretary, Christian Aburime, categorically refuted the claims. The assertion emphasised that the Kaduna State authorities depends solely on official channels for negotiations and can proceed to work with safety businesses to make sure the scholars’ protected return.

The assertion reads: “The eye of the Kaduna State Authorities has been drawn to an outrightly mischievous and false report of ninth March 2024 stating that the Kaduna State Authorities has employed a non-public negotiator to facilitate the protected return of college kids kidnapped in Kuriga neighborhood, Chikun Native Authorities of Kaduna State.

“We want to state categorically that the Kaduna State Authorities didn’t rent any personal negotiator, neither are we considering making such a transfer.

“The hiring of a non-public negotiator solely exists within the fertile creativeness of the reporter. The Kaduna State Authorities has a transparent coverage on non-negotiation with terrorists, bandits and different prison components.

“We urge members of the Press to be cautious in the way in which they craft and publicise their tales on safety so as to not jeopardise the efforts of Authorities and safety businesses in degrading prison components laying siege on our communities.”
