Courtroom remands Kano businessman in jail for allegedly injuring creditor

A Shari’a Courtroom in Kano State on Friday, ordered {that a} 26-year-old businessman, Abdulsamad Muhammed be remanded in a correction centre (jail) for allegedly injuring his creditor.

The defendant who lives in Mazaunar Tanko Quarters of Kano, is charged with inflicting grievous harm.

The Decide, Umar Lawal-Abubakar, ordered that the defendant be remanded in a Correctional facility till Feb. 29.

Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Abdul Wada knowledgeable the court docket that Ashiru Hamza, of Sabon Titi Quarters Kano, reported the matter on the Fagge Police Division on Feb.7.

He mentioned that the defendant attacked the complainant when he visited his shup, demanding that he pays again the N60,000 he had earlier loaned him.

“The defendant acquired indignant, picked offence within the complainant’s go to. He pushed the complainant out of his store.

“On account of the pushing, the complainant sustained grievous harm on his brow and left eye,” he mentioned.
