Financial Report: New-home gross sales drop in October to a lot decrease degree than anticipated

The numbers: U.S. new-home gross sales fell 5.6% to a seasonally adjusted annual fee of 679,000 in October, from a revised 719,000 in September, the federal government reported Monday. 

Analysts polled by the Wall Avenue Journal had forecast new-home gross sales to happen at a seasonally adjusted annual fee of 725,000 in October.
