The Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has expressed remorse over his assist for a discussion board that championed the emergence of Aminu Tambuwal as Speaker of the Home within the seventh Nationwide Meeting.
Tambuwal is now an outgoing two-term Governor of Sokoto State.
“I remorse it,” Gbajabiamila acknowledged whereas recalling the earlier makes an attempt by speakership aspirants to oppose the chosen candidates of their respective events.
The Speaker made these remarks in Abuja on Wednesday evening throughout a gathering of the Joint Process – tenth Meeting, a coalition of members-elect from the All Progressives Congress and opposition events for the upcoming tenth Nationwide Meeting.
Through the assembly, the coalition adopted Tajudeen Abbas and Benjamin Kalu because the anointed candidates of the APC for the positions of Speaker and Deputy Speaker, respectively, for the tenth Home.
