San Jose law enforcement officials discovered 40 weapons and 10,000 rounds of ammunition in a person’s residence as a part of a search warrant associated to a street rage incident, officers stated in a Thursday news release.

Michael Myers, 71, was arrested April 28 on suspicion of firing a gun throughout a street rage occasion close to the intersection of Quimby Highway and Remington Method on April 13, the San Jose Police Division stated.

Officers responded to the incident round 9:30 a.m., and Myers fled the scene, police stated. The division stated it carried out a follow-up investigation after figuring out Myers because the suspect. 

SJPD stated it obtained a search warrant for Myers’ residence and a warrant for his arrest. The division subsequently discovered Myers and arrested him with out incident. Recruit officers of the division additionally served Myers with an emergency gun violence restraining order, which prevents him from proudly owning a gun, SJPD stated. 

In Myers’ residence, officers discovered numerous weapons: 

  • 21 semi-automatic and bolt-action rifles
  • 16 handguns, three of which have been privately made firearms (ghost weapons)
  • Two shotguns
  • One full-auto submachine gun
  • 10,000 rounds of ammunition

Myers was booked into the Santa Clara County Most important Jail, SJPD stated.
