Armed Forces Remembrance: IGP commiserates with fallen heros households, sues for peace

The Inspector-Basic of Police, IGP Usman Baba, Sunday, joined President Muhammadu Buhari, the Chief of Defence Workers, Basic Fortunate Irabor, and different Service Chiefs to put wreaths to mark the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

The Day is marked nationally on the Nationwide Arcade, Abuja, and replicated at varied places within the 36 state of the federation in remembrance of the sacrifices of officers and males of the Armed Forces to make sure the unity, peace and progress of the nation. 

A press assertion by the Pressure Public Relations Officer (FPRO), CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in Abuja, stated: “The IGP commiserates with households and family members of officers and males  of the armed forces, the Nigeria Police Pressure (NPF), and different paramilitary businesses, who’ve paid the supreme value in the middle of their service to the nation.

“He urges each citizen to place arms collectively to make sure that their sacrifices aren’t in useless, whereas we embark on drives that may regularly promote peace and unity, peaceable coexistence and basic security of one and all in Nigeria.”

He stated different dignitaries on the ceremony included: Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; the Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan; the Speaker, Home of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola; members of the Federal Government Council (FEC); the Diplomatic Corps; and members of the NPF Administration Crew.
