Stability of Nigeria relaxation on sacrifices of armed forces – Adeleke

Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun, has mentioned that the soundness of Nigeria rests on the gallantry, patriotism and sacrifices of the armed forces.

Adeleke mentioned this through the inauguration of the 2023 Emblem for Armed Forces Remembrance Day, on Thursday in Osogbo.

The governor, who inaugurated the 2023 emblem with a donation of N5 million, appreciated the dedication of the army and different safety personnel to curtail all types of threats throughout the nation’s territorial boundaries .

He famous that many gallant officers of the armed forces had sacrificed their lives for the nation to be at peace.

“We should due to this fact proceed to acknowledge the contributions of the armed forces to the survival of the nation,” the governor added.

Adeleke mentioned that his administration would proceed to work with army with a view to broaden the current stage of partnership and broaden the scope of peace within the state.

The governor mentioned his administration had put in place a safety sector reform which positioned the welfare of servicemen on the centre stage.

Earlier, the Chairman of Nigeiran Legion in Osun, Mr Oladipo Peter, appreciated the fallen heroes who misplaced their lives whereas defending the territorial integrity of the nation.

Peter praised different gallant army officers and males who turned maimed or completely disabled for the peace and stability of the nation.

He prayed that the brand new administration within the state below Gov. Adeleke would achieve success in reaching its agenda.

Peter appealed for extra help within the areas of welfare and different advantages for members of the legion.
